No, no, we used to buy them on the club dockets, you used to give a shilling a week off them and someone would run a club and you’d join it for a shilling a week. And the other shilling was for the chemist for your makeup and your sanitary … all you got was a lipstick, you know what I mean?

Even if it was to go to the dance.

Yeah, you had to have your lipstick for going to the dancehall.
