Description

Mountjoy Square is one of Dublin's original Georgian squares. It was developed between 1792 and 1818 and named after Luke Gardiner, the first Viscount Mountjoy. By the time interviewees May and Hugh Smullen lived in the Square after their marriage it had largely fallen into disrepair.
