War Time

While a newly formed Irish Free State remained neutral during the second world war, some of the Bridge-IT interviewees recalled the war period which was known in Ireland as 'The Emergency' and noted the effects of the war in Dublin. Of particular importance was the effect of food and fuel rationing and particularly the rationing of tea.
